(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Managed hosting provider NaviSite ( www.navisite.com ) announced on Wednesday that mobile advertising network provider InMobi ( www.inmobi.com ) has selected NaviSite's managed hosting services to expand its reach into the North American mobile advertising space.
The announcement follows a couple of recent customer wins for NaviSites, including agreements with insurance industry application developer Input1 and General Services Administration for US federal government agencies and all branches of the military.
InMobi provides intelligent mobile advertising solutions that help advertisers fine their target audiences on mobile Internet sites in a measurable manner.
The company's Web-based platform lets advertisers and publishers match and build ad campaigns and serve contextual ads across networks.
NaviSite developed and deployed a managed dedicated server platform for InMobi, with multiple Linux servers which feature high-speed Intel Xeon 5000 series CPUs running behind dedicated Cisco firewalls.
The Web host's support team helped deploy a seamless migration for InMobi, resulting in a high-performance dedicated environment that exceeded InMobi's expectations, says the company.
Several weeks after the initial deployment, InMobi once again used NaviSite's rapid implementation capabilities to set up a second environment. InMobi says it has plans for additional expansion in the coming months.
